Who is the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit is a part of every person in our world and is Gods presence on earth, She works through people and in people to influence the Catholic decisions an beliefs that they come into contact with everyday.
The Holy Spirit is seen in the Catholic church in many different forms. She is seen as fire, a gust of wind, water and so on. In many instances the Holy Spirit is seen as a dove, for example on Noah's ark when the dove brings them hope in the form of an olive branch, and when Christ is baptized he sees the spirit of God as a dove descending upon him. Matthew 3:16 As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. |
